What can I expect during the treatment?
Your comfort and care are our top priorities. Upon arriving for your Secret RF Microneedling treatment, our dermal therapist will gently cleanse and prepare your skin. A soothing numbing cream will be applied to ensure a comfortable experience.
During the treatment, you may feel a mild tingling sensation or warmth, which most of our clients find perfectly tolerable.
Depending on the treatment area, you can expect the session to last between 20 to 40 minutes.
What are the side effects?
It's normal to see some redness and swelling, like a sunburn, immediately after the treatment.
These effects are typically mild and resolve within a few days.
While less common, minor bruising or pinpoint bleeding can occur but heals quickly
Following the aftercare instructions provided by your dermal therapist will help minimise any discomfort and ensure a smooth recovery.
How do I prepare for my treatment?
Getting your skin ready for treatment is simple. Avoid harsh skincare products like concentrated retinoids and acids for about a week before your session.
Keep your skin hydrated and moisturised.
If you're prone to cold sores, please mention this during your initial skin consultation.
Post-care, follow up and next steps.
Post-Care: After your treatment, we'll discuss any post-care requirements and the proper skincare to nurture your skin during recovery. Avoid direct sunlight and apply broad-spectrum sunscreen daily. Limit makeup and strenuous activities for the first 24 hours to allow your skin to start the healing process without disturbance.
Follow-Up and Next Steps: During this visit, we can discuss the potential need for additional sessions and further personalise your treatment plan based on your initial results.
Frequency and Maintenance: For more significant changes, such as skin tightening and wrinkle reduction, we recommend 3-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
To continually stimulate collagen production, smooth the skin texture, and improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and scars, we recommend maintenance treatments every 6-9 months.

RF Microneedling isn't suitable for darker skin tones. For those clients, we recommend our SkinPen treatment.
This treatment is unsuitable for those with active skin infections, certain acne medications, or a tendency towards keloid scars.
Pregnant women should also postpone this treatment.
